Rick & Marilynn have both been board members of Tilth Producers of Washington, Marilynn has also been on the Washington Sustainable Food and Farming Network leadership team and the WSDA Organic Food Program advisory board. Rick & Marilynn have hosted WSU's farm walks and Marilynn has also made presentations on their farm practices for Nature Conservancy, Tilth Producers, WSU's Cultivating Success series, and their local high school. In 2008 Marilynn attended the Organic Farming Research Foundation's national organic summit as a farmer-leader to participate in discussions on developing sustainable food systems, local food accessibility, and maintaining integrity of organic farming systems. Currently Rick and Marilynn are involved in the local Slow Food Movement and the NCW Food Coalition. Marilynn also serves as a board member of the Neighborhood Farmers Market Alliance in Seattle and the Initiative for Rural Innovation and Stewardship in Wenatchee.
